Puppies lose their milk teeth at 4-6 months of age and they are replaced with their permanent adult teeth, if they lose these then that's it, they won't get anymore.
Just like us they have milk teeth then permanent adult teeth.

Dogs are like people in that sense... they will lose their puppy teeth once and in come the adult teeth. If an adult tooth is lost, it will not grow back. Most pups start losing their baby teeth at about 5 months old... some a little before, some a little after.

Both of my chihuahuas (one male and one female) lost one set of teeth. It only took about a week for them to grow back in. Most of the time the new teeth were pushing out the old teeth so when the old teeth fell out the new teeth were like stubs just slightly poking out of thier gums.
