Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

CONGRATULATIONS...you just sparked a long lasting argument between creationism and evolution.
if you believe in creationism, then you believe that God created all the animals of the earth, including chickens. so the chicken would come first.
if you agree with evolution, then you would say the egg came first because the first chicken (or specific animal that could be considered a chicken) had to come from an egg of some sort, but its variations led that animal to be different enough from its parents, that it would then be classified as the first chicken.
and if you're a smarta$$, you would say the egg came first because the question never asked which type of egg. it could have been a dinosaur egg, which came way before the chicken.

One of my friends had a really interesting idea on this.
Chickens evolved from dinosaurs, so I think the first official chicken was hatched from a sort of dinasaurish egg, and evolved. Meaning, the egg. =P

Chicken because when god created animals, he did not created the egg and then the animal. He created the man and the woman, not in babys !! older!
