Mac Leopard Navigating in Finder?
Newb on the Mac. In XP, I could navigate through my files using Windows Explorer (or whatever the heck it was called), to see a preview of any jpg files that were held within a folder. Using Finder on my Mac, I see my folders, but any jpg files that are held within those folders have to be opened one at a time. The preview pane shows options for "previous" and "next" and a slide show, but it never moves to the next jpg within the folder. I don't want to have to put them into IPhoto, because then I have group them in the events and I lose the individual file names, which is kind of a pain in the a**.
I love my IMac, but there are some things...LOL
So there's no way to move from item to item by using the preview pane?

Well under View. The first option (icon view) should show you a thumbnail of every jpg in that folder. The second option (list view) wont do much for you.
The third option (Column View) gives a preview of each jpg, when you highlight it. You should be able use the arrow keys to move up and down the list. (Kinda buggy though, the arrows keys work on my MacBook, but not my G5)
The forth option (Cover Flow) should do what you want. When you click on the right or left arrows it should move to the next picture. Again I can use the arrows on my MacBook keyboard and the space bar to preview, but that doesn't work on my G5. I can use the mouse on the arrows.
One last thought. You are clicking on the triangles on the list below to open that folder so you can view the contents of that folder, right? If you do that it should work.
