In the movie "Play Misty for Me", what was the background music?

Some very groovy swamp rock was heard every time the DJ (Clint Eastwood) drove along the Pacific Coast Highway, and he also announced it on his show as being by "the Gator Creek Organisation" - which doesn't seem to exist.

Who performed the music and what was it?

It seems as though the music was created for the film by Dee Barton and was probably played by studio musicians, as the only other artist in the Music Credits shown on the Wikipedia entry is Ewan MacColl (for 'First Time Ever I Saw Your Face').

In the opening credits as he drove was "Dirty Boogie" performed by Gator Creek. Paul, the lead sax in the song, is a friend of mine.
