Can I use a celebrity's name on a t-shirt?
Ok, here's a question for all you lawyer-pants friends. If I were to make a t-shirt utilizing my home printer and readily available materials from Wal-Mart and it contained the name of a celebrity or public figure on it, could I sell these shirts without getting into legal trouble? I've run into conflicting reports and would like to know for sure.

Yes you can as long as it doesn't have some fancy trademark design of the celebrity on it. Or say a singers latest CD cover art with it. Then it could be a copyright infringement.

No, you cannot print them up for commercial gain without the permission of the person whose image you are using.
