I was a big Beatles fan and especially John when he was there but he half lost the plot solo, his best work was the Rock'n'Roll album which he decided to put out only because it'd been pirated and was selling like hotcakes....it was clearly his best work but that didn't surprise me as he was a true rocker.

If John had lived and stayed with Yoko and kept persisting in the garbage he was doing, he'd be a forgotten man now. He needed to get back to his roots or do something new, like the other three did.

Let me preface what I am about to say with - I am also a huge Beatles fan....or at least a fan of their music.

What do I think John would do?

I think he would be out in front of a few thousand people whining about the war in Iraq, the environment, and what ever other left wing cause entered his head while he was smoking dope.

He should have stuck to writing songs and after singing them just kept his mouth shut.

Sorry, it's just my opinion.

Considering that he would be 68 years old, I suspect he would not be that much unlike Paul McCartney- doing an occasional concert, releasing an occasional album that reminds us of how old he is, helping out in a charity or two, and otherwise hanging out in his mansion with more wealth than most people would see in three lifetimes.
