About piercing your ears?
Hi, my cousin that is almost 9years old, really wants to pierce her ears, and she is really afraid of almost everything. Like she is terrified of shots, so I told her, ear piercing must hurt, but she insisted on getting them pierced.
So I was just wondering do piercing your ears for a nine year old hurt at all? Also are there anything else I should know about taking care of pierced ears?
THanks!
well she plans to do it at some store called "claires"
also she is so afraid they may do it wrong, etc.

It would hurt a little, but it's over VERY fast.
Just use rubbing alcohol on it everyday, front and back. Make she she washes her hands and twists it occasionally.

I got my ears pierced when i was 7. For me they stuck a piercing gun up to my ears. That was the scariest part. When it actually happened I laughed. When you get them pierced they will tell you that you're not allowed to take them out for a certain amount of time. They will also tell you what to do if you get an infection and other details.

there are other piercings that hurt worst, really the only piercing that hurts is just the cartilage, its just a sec of pain, shorter than a shot that last a couple of seconds, piercing your ear is just a trigger-shot, its quick... the pro will clean it correctly so theres nothing to be afraid of

If you get it done for her professionally, it should be really easy, and won't hurt as bad as she fears.
My auntie peirced my ears when I was four, and she used a hot needle with ice behind my ear, it didn't hurt me at all honestly.
And if you get it done professionally, they should tell you how to handle it.
