    Hello

If you belong to a religion that bans exploration of your spiritual self it is time for a faith check.

Prayer is meditation, meditation is for what ever you wish it for.

Yoga is only a faith based form of exercise if you allow it to be & understand the why's about it.

It is a physical meditation which is good for body, mind & spirit.

Do yoga along with the meditation, if you like. I'm a Christian, and see nothing wrong with yoga. I also meditate. There are many local churches here that offer yoga classes. If it were in such conflict with Christianity, I doubt that so many churches would be sponsoring yoga classes.

What you talk about?!! It's not bad at all. Yoga and religion have no connection. You can even try meditation. Why deprive yourself from yoga?!

Go on and exercise. Here is a nice free yoga e-course for you:

Meditation is a cross between 'mind exercise' and praying. Prayer itself is a meditation. Yoga is a set of physical movements and unless you think it is comparitive to a spell, then its just another physical exercise with no bearing on religion or spirituality. Being in the best physical condition is a good thing as fit + healthy = best chance of being happy.

Of course it's not bad. There is also a long tradition of meditation in Christianity.

Are you aware that monks practice meditation, that meditation can be used as a form of prayer, and that during meditation you could focus on God's grace if you wanted? It's not evil just because Buddhists do it, you know. In fact, I'm not religious at all and I practice meditation. It's like brushing your teeth.

Why would it possibly be bad? Yoga is good for you and so is meditation. Meditating is not religious honey, I am an atheist and I meditate all the time.

OMG, don't you know that every time you do a yoga pose a new demon enters your body?????

Seriously, it's just stretching. Even the meditation is just relaxation. It doesn't involve any gods.

    Of course not

    the meditation is ok too

Certainly not. Meditation is good as well. I know of many Christians who do both.
