My Puppy keeps throwing up...please help.?
We just brought home a new 8 week old shiba inu puppy last night. He didn't eat dinner, and had diarrhea last night, but we assumed this was normal while getting adjusted to a new environment. Then this morning he didn't eat and had a little diarrhea from the food he must have eaten yesterday morning. Now he is drinking water but 10-15 minutes later he throws it up and seems to be dry heaving when that is gone. Is he just nervous, or is there something wrong? Please help A.S.A.P.

Did the breeder give you some food or tell you what food he was already on? Make sure to keep to the same food, at this age they get upset stomachs very easily. I would take this puppy to the vet as soon as possible, it is very easy for small puppies to get dehydrated. You could also phone the breeder to see if any of the other puppies are sick, it may be a touch of food poisoning or something along that line.

A new puppy should not be having repeated diarrhea or vomiting. Anytime you get a new puppy especially, or any dog, you should take him or her to the vet within 48 hours to be checked out. I would be concerned about parvovirus first off, but certainly dehydration, parasites, or other conditions could be causing the upset. Call your vet & ask to bring him in today. Good luck.

Check what you are feeding him. Make sure it is made for puppies and not grown dogs. You didn't say what it was eating so it can also be a change in diet or environment.
If this continues for another 3 hours, take it to the vet.

Most definately call the breeder to see what they recommend you do for this and ask if it's normal. If they don't know, call the vet. Dehydration is a real concern and can be deadly in a small kitten.

i had the same situation before. i though the puppy will be fine so i didn't take her to the vet.. then the puppy gets worse.. so i would suggest before anything happens, take the dog to a vet. so they could check on them and you'll feel a lot better :)
i hope the puppy will be fine :)

Puppies do that when they arrived to their new home. Maybe the water doesn't agree with her. You can go back to your breeder and ask for the water that she drinks, take it with you. The puppy might feel better. Are you feeding her with the same food as the breeders? If not, you have to.
