( I got 54??)
9 + [ 4-(10 - 9) second power ] third power

The first one is right.
What did you get for the second one?

For the 1st one I get 81.
=27 (25/25 +2)
=27(3)
=81
For the 2nd one, if I'm reading it correctly:
9+ (4-1)to the 3rd power
=9+27
=36
