Did Fred Thompson do a masterful job telling the McCain story or not?

That was the blockbuster speech of the night.

Usually I start to fall asleep when I hear Fred Thompson talk (why use morphine? Take 10 minutes of Uncle Fred and you'll be out cold).

However, he really lit it up tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. It was energetic, strong, passionate, and even took a couple of nice whacks at the Dems.

Well done!

We are all americans Democrat and Republican, black and white, women and men, conservative and liberal. No matter what your political view after tonight McCain should have your respect. Fred did a masterful job describing in candid detail the horror he underwent as a POW. How could anyone as a american not be proud of this man who stood strong for our country. The tears flowed together into a mighty river all over america. This McCain is a real genuine hero and deserves our respect. I believe Vets all over Amercia have respect for McCain. Even if you don't like him, what a moving story that will go into the history books and inspire billions in the years to come.

Fred Thompson for vp. i think of Thompson/McCain could be a greater conservative fee tag. I additionally like the considered Condi Rice. Too undesirable it relatively is not any longer Thompson/Rice for the Republican fee tag.

Thompson was masterful at painting a picture to the stark reality of the torture McCain endured. This speech was the speech of the week and much more powerful then Obama! I loved the truth spoken on Obama and his disqualification to be our president. Who in their right mind would vote for this whipper snapper when they could vote for a real genuine hero. The last War Hero to be President was George Washington! I loved the speech!

Yes, Fred Thompson did an excellent job.

He did a great job! His voice clearings drove me crazy but the substance of his speech with the sincerity was exactly spot on. Unlike some i hard speak last week saying oh yes we support him and want you to also..

In the following regard he did:

"Being a POW does not qualify a person to become President".

Hmm, who John McCain is : an old bastard, a gay hater, a lackey of george, a republican, someone that will keep the country where it is , in war, in debt, in major trouble ya that is pretty much who mccain is.

It brought tears to my eyes and I truly respect McCain for what he has given to the American people
