So, can anybody please tell me when Finlay will be a Main Event Headliner?
The guy is destined to be a life-long mid-carder, along with Shelton Benjamin.

When he goes heel again. You'll see him kick the crap out of Hornswoggle, then demand a title shot. If it is on ECW or Smackdown, then he will never get any bigger and always be a mid-carder. If he does it on RAW, then he could get a decent push. His "I love to fight" gimmick has gone as far as it could, and the father of a leprechaun as a champion is a mockery of the championship.

Your right if he was going to get a major push it would have happened already. Finlay's highest point will probable be when he was WWE United States Champion. Shelton Benjamen might get a push maybe becoming a number one contender in a SINGLES match for the WWE Championship but I don't think he will ever be a World Champion.

He won't, he's going to be 50 years old in October. Don't look for him to become a Main Eventer. David Edward "Dave" Finlay Jr. (born October 20, 1958) is a professional wrestler and road agent from Belfast, Northern Ireland. He is currently wrestling on the ECW brand of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) under the ring name Finlay. He has held both the WCW World Television Championship and the WWE United States Championship.

Maybe if he went to TNA or ROH, he would be a main eventer, but not in WWE.
Ditto for Shelton Benjamin, and Jamie Noble (who was already a main eventer in ROH, because he was a former ROH champion)
MAYBE IF HE WAS YOUNGER, HE MAY BE A MAIN EVENTER, BUT HE'S 50 NOW. IF FINLAY WAS IN WWE 15 YEARS AGO, HE PROBABLY WOULD BE (OR WOULD HAVE BEEN ONE), BUT NOT AT THIS POINT IN HIS CAREER

Hornswoggle has kind of killed any chance of a main event status happening for Finley although as great as a wrestler he is Finlay just doesen't seem to have the charisma to make a great heel or main eventer, He isn't exactly the future of the WWE.
I mean the guy needs hornwoggle to get him cheers for christ sakes, What does that tell you about his character ?

Exactly as you said, he'll always be a mid-carder. I think he is great and has one of the only interesting storylines in wrestling, but he'll never be a mian eventer.

Your right that's all he is and ever will be, the best he can hope for is to become Intercontinental Champion or United States Champion

You know he's like 50, right?
