Why is it that...? Am I at 20 characters yet? How about now?
Look at all the names for father: Dad, Papa, Pops, Daddy, Father, Padre... ok now look at the words for mother: Mom, Mommy, Mama, Mother, Madre... why do "Dad" names start with like three different letters but "Mom" names like universally start with "M"???? Are there some non-m mom names I'm missing? Am I the only one who finds this vaguely annoying?
PS Who else hates the minimum question length?

Lol I do sometimes hate the question length but I understand why they have it and when you think about it, it serves a good purpose. Don't you think? Anyway I think you got all the mom names. Except Ama, which is in a different language just like madre.

You're funny! I really laughed out loud at your Q! MEg
You are not alone. The "M" is owned by the Mom Mafia and therefore no other letter can be used to describe a mama in the english, spanglish or slang. It is a problem. Neen
And yes, we hate the minimum requirement thingy too! Meg
