Not exactly FAVOURITE but I learnt this today in class and it was rather funny, the way my teacher said it. Here you go!
We were talking about the atmospheres of Venus and Saturn, and Venus' atmosphere is much denser than Earth while Saturn's one is much thinner than Earth's.
She said
"Venus' atmosphere is very dense, so before you can even breathe you will be squashed like a pancake because the pressure is so strong that you will be squashed" [class laughs].
"But Saturn has a much thinner atmosphere so you CAN breathe. But once you breathe your lungs will burst [class giggles] because the pressure in your lungs is much higher than outside so your lungs will burst." [class laughs out loud]
I don't know you find it funny but my teacher is generally quite straight laced and no nonsense so to hear her say such words like "squashed like a pancake" and "lungs burst' is really quite funny and unexpected!
