Rotting fruit--- chemical or physical change?

I know spoiled milk is a chemical change. How about rotting fruit?

I apologize for my lack of scientific knowledge and in advance just in case this is a stupid question. :P

Sorry, forgot to add-- can you explain why it is a chemical (or physical, though I've been leaning towards chemical) change?

    Chemical change.

    When a fruit rots, it is being broken down by microbes into simpler substance. This change involves the breaking and forming of chemical bonds within the fruit and is irreversible (you can't get a fresh fruit from a rotten one). Also, new substances are produced, thus it is a chemical change.
