Is Oprah making a poor business decision by refusing to allow Sarah Palin?
...to come on her show? Oprah has made it clear who she supports for President. But is her decision not to have Palin on her show going to cause a backlash and cause her to lose viewers? A similar reaction to Us Weekly.

From a purely business perspective, yes I think its a mistake. Palin is quite possibly the most talked about person right now. An interview with her would draw millions of viewers who otherwise might never watch her show. Regardless of whether or not she agrees with Palin's politics, its undeniable that an interview with Palin would boost ratings.
On the other hand, I don't blame her. Oprah doesn't need Palin to boost her ratings, she (Oprah) is doing fine without her. Oprah can do what she wants with her show and if she wants to stand up for what she believes by not interviewing someone from the opposite political party, she doesn't have to.

Um, first of all, I doubt that Oprah is concerned about losing viewers or money. Anyone who would boycott her show for not having Palin on already is probably boycotting it because of her endorsement of Obama.
(Personally, I don't care for Palin, but I'd rather hammer bamboo under my fingernails than watch another episode of Oprah's Favorite Things.)

even although i'm an Obama supporter, I consider you. this is hypocrisy, yet Oprah is wealthy sufficient to injury out with being a hypocrite. i've got faith the media has had an extremely sexist techniques-set in direction of Sarah Palin, to boot as Hillary Clinton.

Oprah' show is a public forum, and as such, she needs to keep an open mind. Someone who might not watch CNN or MSNBC might get their only political education from programs like Oprah's.
If she invites Sen Biden to appear on her show, then she also needs to invite Gov Palin.

It's her show and she can do what she wants to do. Do you have a problem with her running her business the way she wants to?

She had that terrorist Bush on her show; She might as well let Palin.

I don't think so. Assuming that women support her because she has a vagina is faulty at best.
Source(s): A woman that doesn't support the Palin/McCain Ticket.
