Y&R fans- how do you think the actor that plays Adam feels, knowing that nobody likes his character?

I think he probably feels Great!

I for one dont like him but think he is a great actor I mean he plays the part so well that I hate Adam, thats the point right.

To me he has that edgy part to him that he plays an a**hole so well but then he talks about his mom or something about when he grew up and then I feel sorry for him then he says something mean or fires neil

then I remember that I hate him.

I also think he deserves the name Victor Jr. I mean is he just like his father or what. He is mean He is nice you like him you dont. I mean look how long Eric Breadan has played Victor and look how far he has come. Not just anybody can come in as a nobody and create a role of Victor Newmans son and this actor has made me believe that he is a chip off the old block and he didnt even grow up with his dad. I think that is pretty impressive for an actor/character to do exspecially standing next to Victor Newman!

I think thats what a good actor does...I mean the name adam is rolling off everyones tongue, right? Even if everyone hates him, he is getting alot of attention. Like you say he is a slime ball ( I agree) but you feel sorry for him ( I agree) and yet you ask a question about him.

I would say he should feel GREAT!( The actor that plays Adam, should feel great)

I can not reply this with reference to Twilight. Haven't learn the books, have not noticeable the film. Also, I read an article in one of the soap rags awhile back that was an interview about the actor that played Tom Fisher, and he said once he was on a bus just minding his own business and some lady came up from behind him and just started hitting him with a bag really hard in the head just because she hated Tom Fisher so much.

To me it takes a lot more talent to play the villain than it does to play the hero so all of them should feel really proud that they have done such a good acting job playing their evil characters, most people can hardly stand to even look at their characters!

I believe Chris Engen is doing his job. He is doing a very good job of portraying Adam. The character Adam is very dynamic. One minute he is a bad guy, as you see with how he fired Neil and how he cannot get along with Nick and Victoria. The next minute, you see another side of him when he is with Heather. Adam definitely does come across as an arrogant slime ball, but Chris Engen doing an excellent job of playing the role. I definitely see an emmy in his future. I believe Chris has a good fan base which he would most likely be happy about. He is one of those love to hate characters.

I liked Adam. And i HATE victoria. She's soo mean to adam. It's not even fair. Maybe Adam wouldn't be such a jerk if people cut him some slack every once in a while. Victoria and Nick had EVERYTHING handed to them and Adam was totally ignored. They could give him a break. but noooooo they never ONCE did. and i KNOW adam has a good heart. He TRIED to reach out to victoria more than once. whatever. He is bugging me at the moment but i dont hate him, so i dont think that the actor feels bad at all. =)

well i remember vail bloom spoiling his character during an emmy interview. in which she states adam was going to turn into the new archnemic of the soap just like victor when they orginally brought him for a 6 month stint during his first appearance. So i guess the writers are trying to re-create that magic for him and it will work.

chris engen on the otherhand is a pretty good actor, and he actually surprisingly is a pretty smart guy (he himself did goto harvard heh).

In general, actresses and actors love to play nasty people on TV. It's so much different than their normal personality, but they get to be raunchy. It's fun to act that way even if that's not that way in reality.

I think he feels great because as an actor he is doing exactly what he set out to do and he is getting the reaction he set out to get.....everyone hates the guy. This is surely a success for him!

The same way Eric feels I guess.

Eveyone loves to hate Victor. And at teh moment eveyone is hating Adam.

I think everyone is bieng to hard on Adam.

I don't think it bothers him so much. I'm sure he knew what he was getting into when he took the roll and what kind of roll it would be. He's probably just happy that he got on the show at all.
