Money plant (house plant) problems?
I have a succulent type money plant that has developed a white cotton wooley looking substance at its joints and is releasing a fine mist of sticky residue on to the surface below where it stands. It is on the kitchen window sill.

Hi I answered your question via e-mail, but I could not give you all the info you need to be successful getting rid of it, so I will continue here.
The egg sacs can adhere to any rough surface, so you need to clean the entire area surrounding the plant; window sill, under shelf, curtains, and window because the egg sacs can wedge there and you will be killing the bugs off the plant, but not getting rid of the infestation and they will come back. Soap and water will kill the egg sacs easily, but the soap can burn your plant if your try that instead of the insecticide.

A tree like a walnut tree should be at least 30 metres from the house, if not you will have problems in a few years time and replacing foundations will be very expensive
