Was Billy Graham Jr. really a "biker/outlaw/drug addict" as he claims or is it just marketing?

Billy Graham Jr. was as much a "biker/outlaw/drug addict" as I used to be a chihuahua.
"When he was 15, his father forced him and his sister Catherine to drink beer until they vomited, which created a lifelong aversion, in both of them, to alcohol and drugs."

You have to remember that when Billy Graham was young times were very different. He did indeed dabble with alcohol (maybe drugs I do not know) and he loved motorcycles and was known to ride with a group when he was in college. Also back then you could be arrested for cussing or even spitting gum out on the street. Back then it was considered very rebellious but when compared to today's drugs and bikers it probably seems quite innocent. Non the less it was something that he overcame with God's help. We live in a much different generation then he did but his troubles were just as difficult to him and our struggles are to us.

He was certainly the rebel of the family and, I believe, was an alcoholic. I understand that one of his sisters went a little off track for some time also. This is not at all unusual for children brought up in a high profile Christian home. The children of pastors and vicars have the same problem. A lot is expected from these offspring and sometimes there becomes a period in their lives where they cannot take the pressure. Much prayer would have been said at this time for the children and it must have been very difficult for the parents who were so much in the spotlight.
It just shows how much God loves these people that He gently coaxes them back into the fold. God doesn't wish for anyone to be lost.
