I have a Motorola SB5120 cable modem. Which hookup is faster ethernet or USB?

    Ethernet. USB runs at 450 Mb/s, and Ethernet can go up to 1000Mb/s if you have compatible hardware. If you're only using one computer to browse the internet, you will not notice a difference between using the two, because cable internet doesn't go past 10Mb/s.

    i dont think you can access a cable modem using usb. but if you can i would have to go with ethernet anyway as it is designed to handle that type of data.
