Much likely you will get better deals in the UK or elsewhere from Europe e.g. via eBay. Electronics are not cheap in India as import duties are rather high and there is few competitive retail culture - expect to pay 20-40% more than in Europe. Just compare prices from for example dell.co.in with what you pay at home. If you see cheap electronics then the quality is far below what one would dare to offer in the UK.

You can bring a camera as a personal item into India without incurring duties, just leave original packaging at home so that it does not look like it is for sale.

Discover the town that never rests and is always abuzz with activity. That town is Mumbai! Learn it with hotelbye . Mumbai is in every methods a mega-city pushed by power, wealth, style and celebrity which draws people to give shape to their dreams and aspirations. Mumbai can also be an area with solid traditional links, wonderful British structure, museums, beaches, places of worship, and especially, a real galaxy of stars wherever Bollywood reigns supreme. You can not visit Mumbai and not need enjoyment on its beaches and the 2 most widely used beaches would be the Juhu Beach and the Chowpatty Beach.

It may be cheaper but you not guaranteed its a genuine product, Indian ingenuity is remarkable even sometimes better than the Chinese all they need to do is stick the workings of a cheap 1MP camera into the Nikon body.

UK...any new technology in India is quite expensive...that's if you can even find what you are looking for there.
