Anyone know realtors in Texas and New Mexico who provide info on comparable sales of unimproved vacant land?
We live in California but own vacant unimproved land in Texas and New Mexico. We're filing Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, but before our lawyer can file to protect us, one of the pieces of information he requires are comparable land sales in the same area that we own such property. This info has to come from a realtor. Anyone know of real estate companies in both Texas and New Mexico who deal with vacant land and provide such info? If it helps, our property in Texas lies in Hudspeth County, while the New Mexico property is in Valencia County.

Poor Realtors. They are having a tough time in this market, yet you want them to travel many, many miles to make property comparisons on vacant land. If this could be done easily on a computer, that would be fine, but it can't. Your lawyer isn't working for nothing, but he didn't suggest an appraiser who would do the job for a fee.

Acutely the information on comparable sales does not have to come from a Real Estate Agent, your lawyer should know that. What you really need is a Real Estate appraiser.
