Sneakers Made In USA?

Don't you think something should be done concerning sneakers made in asia and sold here in america??

for example a pair of jordans cost a fraction of what it retails for.

same for nike and more companies...and where can i get converse that were made in USA??

    I never buy name brand sneakers. And when other people stop buying they will stop making them in those other countries.

    I love the sneakers I get from England every year. They have a style that is very different from American sneakers. Also, they seem to last longer and look better too. The price we pay for them, along with sending them across the ocean, is usually less than the price of the crazy cheaply made, over-priced sneakers available here. I have an advantage in that a relative of mine buys them there and sends them to me, so I'm not paying the cost of importing, just the postage and insurance. Lucky me :]

    Yes, but it's still cheaper to buy goods from Asia. The last pair of Converse I saw was at K*Mart (which is really Sears).

    I agree! I'm having a hard time finding decent leather running shoes, without paying for the "name". The quality is not what it used to be, and obviously because its made outside the US. What a shame.
