Can I clean my piercing with this ?
I just got a Monroe piercing on my lip. Can I clean it with the ear care solution you get when you have your ears pierced?
Yes I was given instructions on rising with diluted listerine and seasalt but just not sure what to clean the outside with.
Thanks guys for your input! I appreciate the answers. =)

NO.
Clean it with SEA SALT only. Sea salt is the only thing you should ever use on a piercing. (well, besides mouthwash, for mouth).
Have you done that yet? It's a few dollars in the grocery store, Mortons, yeah. Get that. Mix a bit into a cup (I use disposable bathroom dixie cups) with warm water and invert it over the piercing. Soak it for a few minutes. Afterwards, dip a clean q-tip into the water and clean off around the piercing, getting off all the gunk or whatever.
Don't use anti-bacterial soap, either. Just like alcohol and peroxide, it'll dry the fck out of it and take out the GOOD bacteria too. This is especially true for something you may eventually take out (years later if you decide it's not cool anymore, yes, it happens, I'd be naive to say I'll always love my piercings) - it'll screw things up and make your hole less likely to close up and look normal after years.

No defiantly not.
* Brush your teeth three times a day (more if you can). This cuts down on the amount of bacteria in your mouth, and allows less bacteria to reach the piercing site.
* A sea salt rinse can also help to reduce swelling and heal your piercing. Put about 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt (not regular table salt, but this salt can be found grocery stores) into eight ounces of warm water. Stir to dissolve. Rinse your mouth for at least 15 seconds after eating anything or smoking.
* At the time you are cleaning the outer portion of your piercing (usually morning and night) be sure to check the ball or gem on your barbell or stud. It should be tight in order to avoid losing this part of your jewelry.

No, you need to use a sea salt solution or a anti-bacterial soap. Stay away from things that have color or fragrance. Also stay away from rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, etc those products are not designed for a puncture wound. For mouth washes always use an alchohol free when even if you dilute the listerene it's still not good for a piercing.

I'm pretty sure that any piercings in or around the mouth should be cleaned with mouthwash...

No. You should do sea salt rinses and use listerine to expel any bacteria.
Didn't they give you instructions?
