Sue Grafton's alphabet murders...?

Is the series worth the time?

I hate Patricia Cornwall's Kay Scarpetta series, but love John Sanford's Lucas Davenport.

Which is Grafton's writing closer to?

I love John Sandford. I thought Cornwell's first books were OK. I like Grafton pretty well. She's very good at what she does and she has a strong lead character. I guess in subject matter she is closer to Sandford than to Cornwell. A big difference is that her lead, Kinsey Millhone, does not develop as much through the series as Lucas Davenport does. He changes and grows through the cases we watch and Millhone tends to stay pretty much the same. The stories are good though, and well executed. You'd probably like her, but I recommend not reading too many in a row. That's when you really notice how alike the details are. Give her a try, she's well worth a read.

By the way, you might want to check out Michael Connelly and Dennis Lehane too.

I liked Sue Grafton's and Patricia Cornwell's books for a while then started to tire of them.

Try James Paterson books - I think you'll enjoy them!

Sue Grafton is in a league all by herself in my opinion. I enjoy her very much! I am reading "T" is for Trespass right now.

I have also recently taken a liking to James Patterson.
