If I text people in the USA from the Bahamas would they get charged.?
My phone is from the USA I am going on a cruise to the Bahamas and wondered what would happen if I text when i get there.

Probably. At least with Sprint, I get charged extra for receiving an international text message, even though I have unlimited text messages within the US.

A friend just took a trip to the Bahamas and told me it would cost like 8 cents for a text message. She called her phone company and asked them before she went on the trip. Also, she has two cell phones and only one of them would work in the Bahama, so you may want to find out if yours will.
