Its pretty normal for toddlers to go through picky stages. Continue to offer a varitey of foods and include plenty of healthy choices. When my kids had their picky stages they'd usually eat yogurt, noodles, cheese even a favourite fruit. Good luck!

My son is the most picky child you will ever meet. He never ate baby food! EVER!!!! At one year he started to eat crackers. He is now 26 months and we were told he has sensory processing disorder. You can read up on it online if you would like. Until recently he was eating pizza, hotdogs, bananas, crackers, fruit snacks, toast, and a few other things. We were told to spice up his food. Meaning put a little dab of hot sauce on his hotdog (since we knew he would eat that) and then give him corn with it. Sure enough...he would eat the hotdog first and then he would be way more willing to try the corn. You can try this with everything. I would say to give him one or two things your child will eat and then one he/she wouldn't normally. My son just recently added corn, rice, plums, and some other foods. seems to be working for now! What else I can say will help big time is to let your child cook. My son would not eat cake from the age of 12-15 months. What kid doesn't like cake? LOL!!! Anways...once a week we cook together since he was 15 months old. We will make muffins, pumkin break, cupcakes, brownies, corn bread, even chicken, ect. I let him do it all. Just give direction. I would buy a box mix and see where it goes. My son at 15 months knew how to make muffins buy himself (I would only measure the ingredients to add). He would dump everything into the pan, stir, and put into the muffin pan. He has grown an extreme love for cooking. The first time I allowed him to crack an egg at 20 months...he did and with no help of me telling him what to do. He will now eat anything he makes himself. I will say...this was the biggest help in getting him to eat new foods. He now is 26 months and can rub spices on chicken breasts and bread them like a pro. Also, you can blend in some peeled cucumber into a fruit smoothie. My son loved smoothies, so I snuck in some veggies in there :) And one other thing...carnation instant breakfast!!!! Has lots of vitamins and kids think it is chocolate milk. I don't do the entire pack, just a couple teaspoons. Hope I helped a little.

My son is picky, but my daughter isn't . They are underweight & have been to see different specialists. It's normal for kids to be picky; just don't give in by giving them junk food "just so they'll eat". It takes at least 10 times for kids to like something! We eat together as a family, no tv, and they eat what we eat, modified sometimes (like if we eat steak, i cut it into tiny pieces). I make spaghetti & meatballs so everyone can eat it, for ex. Then we have a vegie & fruit. I let them choose which kind so they're in "control". I never bribe them (like eat it so you can have dessert) & never force them to finish their plate.

When they're hungry, they'll eat. It's when we give in & become "short-order" cooks, that's when they become even pickier!

Go with the basics -- when my daughter gets picky, I cut up some small cubes of ham, cheese, fruit & bread. She should probably have veggies too, but at least it's better than nothing (or worse...an all fruit loops diet, which she'd prefer).

    Good luck!

my almost 2yr old daughter is also a very picky eater so i know what ur going through. I give my daughter pasta foods(which she seems to favor more) like spaghetti with meat balls, chicken alfredo, lasagna, ravioli, alphabet soup, meatloaf oatmeal, cream of wheat, cereals like Cheerios with banana in it. also try giving him diced fruit and lots of fluids. i give my daughter juicy juice she hates water so i dilute her juices. try making meal time fun try different foods and keep insisting that's what work with my munchkin when she refuses to eat i keep insisting every half hour till she eats something. hope this helps...good luck
