The Kittery Outlets - Boston - How do I get there?

We're visiting Boston in November and I've been reading about the Kittery Outlets and they definitely look worth a visit - but how do I get there? Can we reach it by using public transport? Or are there any tour buses that will take us there?

Thanks

Update:

We won't have a car so it needs to be public transport!

The Kittery Outlets are pretty passe, they are just a typical outlet mall. Easier to get to by public transit is the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets. You might want to compare the store list to the one at Kittery.

Either way, you'll burn the better part of a day getting there, shopping, and getting back. If you absolutely MUST, here's the transit info for Wrentham.

Much better to shop at Copley Place, Newbury Street, Filene's Basement (Back Bay), The Shops at the Prudential Center, Quincy Market, Harvard Square, the Museum of Fine Arts Shop.

the kittery outlets are in maine, not boston. it's a couple hours drive. i guess you'd have to take a bus, or maybe just rent a car for the day. but if you're looking for a good day of shopping, don't waste it on the kittery outlets; go to fanuiel hall and newbury street!

I do not believe there is any direct public transportation - the best one can do its to take the bus from Boston to Portsmouth, NH and then rent a taxi.

(Actually, Portsmouth is a lovely little city; you might want to spend a day and an overnight there).

You can call the Outlet management at 1-888-KITTERY to ask them.

You take rte 1 straight up to the Maine Border. A little overrated actually, Freeport, ME with LL Bean is where it's at! A lot further North however.

The link contains info from the Outlet's website. I would recommend the train (Downeaster, Amtrak) and then taxi.
