the computer is telling you something is not working right by giving you those beeps you should be able to figure out what its telling you is wrong but I doubt you know what kind of bios you have ... if you have the model number you may can figure out what the motherboard is and what bios it has. from there you may can figure out what has failed
on the other hand if he computer has been moved recently something may have come loose and may just need to be re-seated. if you have a warranty I would not open the case without the warranty people on the phone.
someone suggested it could be the powersupply. I personally have not seen a power supply cause beeps but I am sure it can happen. I have how ever seen a motherboard give beeps because it was bad, the ram was bad/not seated well. Also I have seen bad video cards give beeps.
those beeps arnt good at any rate and it may be an easy fix, it may need parts depending on the age it may be cheaper to get a new one than repair it in this day and age unforunately. feel free to ask any thing else you might have a question about. I dont mind answering

Those beeps are usually due to faulty power supply.
You will need to replace the power supply. However, some BIOS beeps like that for other reasons so you should see if your grandson will let you borrow his power supply for you to test.
Good luck.
