That's the spirit....pull yourself up by your own bootstraps and keep a stiff upper lip, I always say. Just carry on as usual. Drinking lots of fluids and plenty of tissues, though.

Some daytime cold symptom relievers have always worked for me.
If you are feeling awful, then stay home and rest. You might have gotten the cold easier if you have been stressed out or over-worked, so take it easy for a couple of days.
Also, take some vitamin C and Echinacea on a regular basis. They both help with building your immune system. Some people think they have to take a whole bunch of Vitamin C, but you do not have to. Just take the recommended daily allowance or a little more than that. Some of the Vitamin C Supplements I have seen have like 5000% of the recommended daily allowance and that is just CRAZY!!!

If you have some important work to do, I suggest taking a multivitamin with a B vitamin complex if you have them to give you a boost (though taking them all the time is even better) and some sort of cold medication to relieve the symptoms you have.

depends on the severity, sniffles, carry on, a hacking cough and runny nose stay at home, because its contagious and everyone else will get it. Worked in environments where this happened all the time, passed back and forth
