What is up with Yahoo Mail?

I am getting 15 to 30 new e-mails from Answers stating I have received best answer but they are old, deleted e-mails. Where are these coming from? Why is my inbox being deluged with these? Is it just me?

    There has been all kinds of problems today. This is what yahoo is saying about it

    "We are experiencing some unexpected site issues and are working to fix the problem. We're sorry for any inconvenience"
