What do I do with the Bride's bouquet of white roses?

i recently went to a friend of mine's wedding and because she it just simply didn't matter to her OR she got caught up in the chaos of organizing her wedding, she did not have a second bouquet...you know, the one you throw. i'm not even sure if this is a standard practice. all the weddings i've been to the bride has, what i like to call a "stunt bouquet" that is thrown to the single ladies so that she can keep her real bouquet. anyway, i caught her gorgeous, white rose wedding bouquet. but i don't really have a need for it. so i was thinking of doing something nice with the bouquet and giving it back to her as a gift and i was thinking about drying the flowers. is there any particular way i need to dry roses? does anyone have any experience with drying wedding bouquets and have neat suggestions? any other suggestions regarding another idea on what i can do? any and all ideas are welcome! thanks!

White roses turn brown on drying, so a good photo is perhaps the best choice here.

Have you considered starting a potpourri for her? Pull off the rose petals, air dry them in a single layer, and add some fragrant rose petals and spices and fixatives. Put in a nice jar and she can add more flower petals as she gets them. (I have a big vase full of all the roses hubby brought me over the years). Here are some commercial recipes, but there are many, many others:

You might also make rose beads:

Personally, I think fresh roses are best! If you are carrying a bouquet of just red roses, I think the idea of each bridesmaid carrying 1 white rose is great! I really like the ribbon idea too but I would make sure that your ribbon is the same color as theirs! Good luck and I hope this helps.
