why does mccain say the economy is stable when we have banks closing at all time highs?

Banks may be closing but no where near all time highs. Banks are closing because they became stupid and gave money out to just about everyone.

Fiscal responsibility means a lot for this country to succeed and when you have times where no responsibility there will be repercussions.

The unemployment rate did spike pretty good for last month but overall the economy is very stable given the conditions we have right now. The economy this year has been grown about 1% (not ideal but okay) or slowied at fractions of a percentage (definitely not ideal, but could be much worse).

Good question. Perhaps it's because Phil Gramm, McCain's chief economic advisor, developed a bill called the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act that deregulated banks and allowed for them to get "too big to fail". Now we have... banks too big to fail.

because he's a republican and as long as he gets money in his pocket he doesn't care for middle class families.

he's saying all the good stuff now just so people will elect him, but as soon as he does get elected it's gonna be 4 more years of bush's policies all over again.

plus we're basically in a recession. idk how someone can call that a stable economy.

Because it's part of the Republican mantra, "the economy is sound" "there is no recession" and my favorite, "it's not proven that humans cause global warming".

because . he and his wife are multi millionaires...... he thinks he owns seven homes ...... his wife a brewery......... HIS economy IS stable He has no Idea how the average american lives.....Obama probably doesn't either........ its all about politics
