Seven years later... When will everything be OK?

It will be OK when we begin reacting intelligently.

Bush diverted resources from Afghanistan (where Osama bin Laden was and may be still) to invade Iraq (where there had been no connection to Al Qaeda and where there were no weapons of mass destruction). We have squandered the lives of over 4700 brave and honorable U.S. servicemen and women in a war that has encouraged and recruited more terrorists to act against the United States and our allies throughout the world.

The result has been a military stretched so thin that we cannot adequately respond to real threats - including North Korea and Russia - and a weakened ability to call on assistance from other nations.

The drain on our economy has produced a weaker dollar. The short term effects are higher gasoline and other prices. The long term effects will include a tax burden on our children and grandchildren to pay off interest and $9.6 trillion debt.

The weakened political will during war thwarts appropriate response by Congress to protect us from abusive executive branch power. The refusal of Congress to impeach Bush now gives all future presidents a sense of impunity for their adventures and abuses.

We must work now for change. And keep working until it is OK again.

Never. The world is full of chaos and just when everything might seem like it's going to be okay, something else happens. Sounds pessimistic right?

Even during America's so called "Gilded Age", where the poor could become rich and the rich could become richer, there was still discrimination and poor working conditions.

there will never be true peace in the world,since cain killed abel.there has been murder and killings.jealously and hate will never end.and yes there will be peace at the time of the Antichrist,but that will only be for a short time.all that will happen after the LORD comes to get his people ("christians) to go to heaven.so after the prophesy is full filled the LORD will destroy the world and he will make a whole new world.where the christians will live in the presents of the LORD JESUS CHRIST,forever.in peace.amen

When every terrorist is tracked down and shot like the dogs that they are. But that is no guarantee. There will always be violence, wars, and senseless acts. That's the way it's been since the beginning. But as long as there are good people in the world, the fight will continue.

I guess you're a religious man, so I will tell you the Bible says that only the anti-christ will be able to bring about peace throughout the world. Even in the middle east.

Until then, there won't be peace entirely.

The Civilians of USA banned to Govt. to pay or help of ammunations to those Countries like Pakistan who had their own camp to trained Terrorists.

The world was always like this and always will be. That's the nature of things.

strangely, this is one of the most peaceful periods in the history of the world.
