Can dogs get muscle ache?
My dog is usually a homebody...she is usually home and gets limited exercise since I work during the day. Okay so I take her out one day to play with other dogs and she is a very very hyper dog when shes with other dogs....and she ran around at least 2 hours. Now shes walking around like shes in pain. She has a hard time even climbing simple stairs. Can dogs get muscle ache like we do? I am not sure if I should take her to the vet, or if she can just rest and maybe it will go away eventually?

Oh yes for sure they can. We went for a walk and got very very lost like 6 hours later we finally made it out of the maze. Good thing I took water. Shmutz my dog was very very sore the next few days. He did not want to go for a walk for a few days lol

There muscle are just like ours, need exercise and water. Let him rest and you can give him a baby aspirin (no tylenol). Be sure he gets more exercise. Some exercise will help to work out the soreness.

I would imagine they could. My dog was limping a bit after a day at doggy daycare, but I couldn't find a tender spot when I tried applying pressure all over her leg and foot. She was fine within a couple days. I think she must have "pulled" a muscle, just like people do.

Yes they can, they also get arthritis which is fairly common among older dogs.
It's also possible that she has a sprain, fracture or break from all that activity. If she's in pain, get her to a vet and get to the bottom of it.

Sure they can.
However, if she doesn't show signs of improvement within the next day or so take her to the vet.
