A very old grandfather clock I bought at an estate auction recently. It cost me 250 bucks to fix and restore it to perfect SHAPE AND CONDITION.

Growing up, we had a grandmother clock. I had never heard of it, but it's a smaller version of the grandfather clock. My dad was on the trifty side and didn't want the extra $ to be spent. But mom wanted her clock.

I have 3 chiming clocks. One is from the late 1800's, one from the early 1900's, and one from around 1950.

I have some wristwatches that make noise. My clocks have alarms, not chimes. I'm wearing a 1956 Jaeger-LeCoultre "Memovox" that has an alarm. A new version costs $7400 in steel. I also have a Vacheron Constantin "30010" minute repeater that chimes the hour, quarter and minute upon request. It costs $507,000 in platinum.

I have a chiming clock on my mantel, but I keep the chimes turned off. I hate noisy clocks.
