Reoccurring ingrown toe-nail...?

I've had a constant issue with ingrown toenails on both of my big toes. When i first had one i went to a podiatrist and he removed the entire nail, had me soak it in Epsom salt and warm water for 15 min a day for 2 weeks...did that, it went away for a couple months, then when the nail was basically all grown back it started getting ingrown again...ive had the nail removed from the left toe 2 times and the right 3 times 9one time just part of the nail was removed)....

my question is this: my parents think i should see a different doctor this time around (right toe, 4th time) because they think the first time i had it fixed the doc did something wrong causing it to constantly grown back ingrown. I dont think there were any other options for an ingrown nail, its not going to get better if it stays ingrown. I think its just a problem with my toe, not what the doctor did. Any one know of any other treatments for an ingrown nail or had it treated any other way?

also, twice ive had a chemical put along the edges and part of the root to keep it from being able to grow ingrown, but its come back both times.

That's hilarious because the same exact thing happened to me. I got the ingrown toenial cut out twice by the same doctor but it came back every time. I soaked it in the Epsom salt and everything like you did. I went to a new doctor and they removed the root and he said it wou;dn't grow back and if it did he would do something else. It hasn't grown back yet and it's amazing. I think you should definetly go to another doctor because the third time worked and it hasn't come back yet. It's been about a year now.

    Good Luck!
