yup. I can help you out. The question is how serious are you about it and how dedicated are you going to make yourself?
I don't know how tall you are, how much you weigh, how active you are, or what you're currently eating/doing to maintain/lose weight. I need to know all that before I can start recommending stuff.
However, a good baseline is to tell you to go join a gym and get there at least 4x/wk. Better yet get yourself a good personal trainer who can help you with your diet too. You've GOT to realize the importance of weight training as well as diet. Cardio is important too, but most girls shy away from weights. You need to build muscle to lose weight effectively.
Another piece of advise is to stop worrying so much about what the scale says and worry more about how you look in the mirror. You're going for fat loss, not weight loss. Now I'm not trying to make you some hulking bohemith of a body builder or anything like that. I'm just saying that the more muscle you have, the more calories your body will devote to maintaining the muscle instead of fat.
You're going to want to make sure you're eating enough calories. believe it or not, alot of people can't lose weight and seem to get fatter because they're not eating enough. Sounds counter intuitive, but it's true. You've got to establish your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) and come within 80% of your caloric requirements, otherwise your body will say "im not getting enough food, so I'm not going to invest in muscle because it's too expensive. Instead I'm going to save my calories as fat until I see that I'm getting enough that it doesn't matter". So you're gonna want to eat 5x per day and make sure you're getting 80% of your daily calories.
Drink 1/2 your weight in oz of water each day and take an organic multivitamin. (centrum is worthless. The synthetic ones like Centrum aren't digested and pass right through you before you can absorb it).
Go get yourself an ebook by Tom Venuto called "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle" Google it and you can download it. It's wonderful at explaining how you can manipulate your metabolism to lose weight and tone up. He's very anti protein bar and protein shake or any other kind of supplement, which is cool. But I still like the shakes/supplements because they're a bit cheaper than chicken or steak.

Go to www.freedieting.com. Click on Daily Calorie Needs. This will tell you how many calories you need to maintain your current weight and how many you need to lose weight. (The website has some other goods things on it too).
I also love www.thedailyplate.com. You can search for foods you've eaten and keep track of how many calories you've had.
I've been trying to lose my baby weight for the last year and I've finally had some success by counting calories. I was amazed at the amount of cals I had been eating. No wonder I didn't lose any weight forever. It can be hard at first, but you get used to keeping count. I write them down every day and I know how many I should have for supper and try not to go over. It also helps to not buy any bad snack foods like cookies and chips. Keep only good things in the house.
Good luck.

Limit your NET CARBS to no more than 15 grams every 3 hours. Net carbs are total carbs minus fiber and sugar alcohols. You will be amazed how quickly the weight falls off. Also try stepping up your activity level, even if it's just taking the stairs instead of the elevator and walking around the block once per day.
