To gain weight, you obviously need to take in more calories than you burn. There are several healthy foods you should add to your diet that add healthy fat and calories:

    - nuts and peanut butter

    -avocado

    -lean meat (chicken, fish, etc)

    -bananas (highest calorie fruit)

-dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, apricots, etc.)

    -whole milk

    -yogurts/cottage cheese with higher milkfats

    -oils (especially olive oil)

    -ice cream

I suggest spreading your calories out into 5-6 smaller meals rather than 3 big ones.

If you find it hard to eat more, it may be easier to drink your calories. They sell Boost and Ensure Plus drinks at most supermarkets. Each 8floz bottle has about 350 calories, and plenty of nutrients, plus they come in yummy flavors! If you drink 2 of these a day in addition to regular meals/snacks, you will gain healthy weight fairly quickly. You could also get Carnation Instant breakfast packets and add those to some milk and drink one with every meal or as quick snacks in between meals.

You could also begin weight training if you wish. Gaining muscle weight is better than gaining fat, plus it will help fill you out. Plus the exercise might increase your appetite.

    Good luck!!!!

fat isnt really healthy. try eating more calories than you usually do i burn them when you gain weight that way you gain muscle instead and still look great. wow i remember when i wore a six 0. dont feel bad i used to wear a doulble 0 [00]. if you want to gain weight having a big appetite is kinda a good thing in your sitution. just make sure you dont eat food in the fats,oils... group.but until you gain weight abercrombie and fitch is a GREAT place to shop for pants! and hollister and aeropastle. soo good luck

i wear a size 3 in jeans depending on the designer and im 5'7 and i weight 139 and REALLy skinny but i love it..so dont feel bad, when you gain weight you'll wish you never had it.. TRUST ME. so take it as a compliement when ppl say "omg your so skinny i hate you" hope that helped

Food is required by the body to produce energy. If you eat enough to live happily then you probably are the correct size for your age and lifestyle.

Good food at anytime but can be very fattening would be peanut butter, liquid malt plus any dairy products and especially pastas. These will all convert to fats if not required by the body.

Keep reading about it and you will become more all round knowledgeable..

Well, the best way would be to eat more healthly fats, not the saturated ones that clog your arteries.

    Like:

    Flaxseed oil

    Udo’s Choice essential oil blend

Fish Fat (salmon, trout, herring, sardines)
