Why is it that liberals believe that all conservatives are rich and priviledged?
I mean, we have had more votes than them so obviously their's a bunch of us out there. We can't possibly all be rich.
Why can't they understand that it is the inherent belief of a conservative (regardless of monetary status) that success or failure in life depends primarily on the efforts of the individual. Hard work is often rewarded with affluency, but the vast majority of conservatives are hard working, middle class individuals who have not been born into any form of wealth. In fact, it is my experience that the liberal side is usually made up of people that have been handed everything and have a sense of "entitlement". While the conservatives are out busting their backs in the workforce, the libs sit in coffee shops and universities and talk about evil the corporations are and how it's tough for them to get a leg up in life because the governemtn doesn't care enough about them. Boo-hoo.
Also, the VAST majority of the Armed Services are conservative leaning and feel that it is an honor to serve and want to be there. Instead of fearing a draft, they simply volunteer. And they are not all poor, uneducated people either. It's just that they understand the value sacrifice. They understand and accept the dangers involved and do not think the reasons they are in the fight are unimportant.
By the way, all top-level politicians are wealthy.

I agree, look at all the Hollywood liberal that support Obama. They have more money then they should and the sound bites coming from them, like Matt Damon, "I can't like someone that doesn't believe dinosaurs existed." Who ever said she doesn't believe they didn't exist? Pamela Anderson, "I hate her, I just hate her, look how she treats those poor animals." Just because you support PETA doesn't mean everyone else has to. Lots of people in this country hunt, including many of her fans. Some of the best natural conservationists I've met are hunters.
There are several people that vote conservative that are not rich, they are your salt of the earth man or woman. They are not stupid rednecks, like some of the people have stated here. Your insults only give more credence to voting for John McCain.

No, the vast majority of conservatives are extremely uneducated, poor, white trash. The wealthy conservatives are the folks that have brainwashed you into thinking they actually care about you. The military is not 2/3 conservative....that's a myth. Where did you get that number? In other words - which conservative told you that?

That is just their observation. 8 out of 10 of the richest men in America is a democrat. Anyone can look at the blue states and see that is where the richest people live. California and New York among 2 of them.

I suppose because they vote for the candidates that primarily have policies that support the wealthy and privileged.
It is hard to understand why a middle-class or poor person would vote for someone who doesn't really give a crap about them.

I don't. From alot of the posts I've seen here over the past several months, there are many many conservatives that believe all Liberals are poor trailor trash that live on state aid. It works both ways.

They don't - most republicans are small town conservatives who like their politics simple.
Conservative politics is easy to understand - and easy to manage as a politician. You don't have to do much. It's minimalist.
