What do you think of my week 2 NFL Predictions?

I think the following are going to win:

Bills vs Jags - Bills

Bears vs Panthers Bears

Packers vs Lions - Packers

Colts vs Vikings - Vikings

Giants vs Rams - Giants

Saints vs Redskins - Saints

Raiders vs Chiefs - Raiders

Titans vs Bengals - Titans

Falcons vs Buccaneers - Buccaneers

49ers vs Seahawks - Seahawks

Ravens vs Texans - Texans

Dolphins vs Cardinals - Cardinals

Patriots vs Jets - Patriots

Chargers vs Broncos - Broncos

Steelers vs Browns - Steelers

Eagles vs Cowboys - Cowboys

This is my reasoning for the picks:

The Jets beat the Dolphins by only 6 and could have potentially lost the game. Their defense still sucks, and while Cassel is no Brady, I don't see them stopping the Pats. Also, Miami's defense is arguably the worst in the league, and Farve barely managed to beat them. Good luck with the pats.

The Raiders and the Chiefs are up in the air, but after being humiliated on national TV, I expect the Raiders to get revenge in this rivalry. The Chiefs left me very unimpressed as they could not defeat the crushed Patriots in week 1.

The Bears stomped on the Colts and looked like they did a few years ago when they reached the super bowl. The Panthers usually play bad at home. Delholme may be able to pick up, but as history shows, they don't perform well at home.

The Bill's defense was impressive last week. The Jags seemed a little dead in the water. I expect the Bills to win again with their D.

While the Eagles blew out the Rams last week, it's not that impressive. Most NFL teams will be able to do that. Tono Romo, on the other side, is 14-4 since Dec '06 in the first half of the season. He is a very strong starter (the fact that he can't win a playoff game is a different arguement).

The Titans will have a slight edge over the Bengals. Both teams are dealing with disgruntled superstars, but I can see the Titans benefiting from Young's injury more than the Bengals can benefit from Mr. 85.

The Vikings lost on National TV, so I think they want to prove they're better than that. The Colts have Manning, who is semi-injured and looked like a kid forced to go to school before the game last week. With Manning off his game for a bit, and the Vikings with some of the best rush-defense in the league, I can see this one ending with a W for the Vikings. Also, Indy just had one of their starters arrested.

The Texans lost to the steelers, who's offense was just too good for them. The Ravens came off a home win with their rookie debuting strong. I just don't think a rookie will pull the upset on the road, not against the Texans. It's also shown that teams recovering from a natural disaster (NOLA, SD fires) come out and play amazing.

I disagree with you on 3 of them. I think the Jags, Chiefs and Chargers will win their games. But hey, I agree with you on the vast majority.

    Bills vs Jags - Bills

    Bears vs Panthers Panthers

    Packers vs Lions - Packers

    Colts vs Vikings - Vikings

    Giants vs Rams - Giants

    Saints vs Redskins - Saints

    Raiders vs Chiefs - Cheifs

    Titans vs Bengals - Titans

    Falcons vs Buccaneers - Buccaneers

    49ers vs Seahawks - Seahawks

    Ravens vs Texans - Ravens

    Dolphins vs Cardinals - Cardinals

    Patriots vs Jets - Patroits

    Chargers vs Broncos - Chargers

    Steelers vs Browns - Steelers

    Eagles vs Cowboys - Cowboys

Panthers will win Bears, they beat the Chargers and the Bears beat Colts, both teams was on the road. This time the Panthers is at home.

Vinkings and Colts, i don't think their defense is as good as the Vikings, the offense is rusty because of the preseason. I agree with you.

I picked the Cheifs to be the NFL worst with 2 wins, one of them vs Raiders.

Against the Steelers defense the Texans hardly moved the ball in the first 3 quarters, Ravens defense is the different in this game. And they would ran the ball great too, like the Steelers did last week.

I agree with you picking the Patriots, this team has more then Tom Brady, Moss and the running game is the ''Key'' I think the Jets will win Patriots in New England, not at home on week 2. Pats 20-13

Last disagreement would be Broncos winning Chargers. That just wouldn't happen, last week was last week and also a lession that the Chargers would learn. They'll rebound and win 27-17.

The only thing I find wrong with your logic is the "so-and-so only beat so-and-so by this many points". The NFL is not an exact science. It was week 1. As with Favre, he's still getting used to the Jets offensive scheme and shifts(see this weeks ESPN The Magazine). So basing your logic that they only beat the Dolphins by 6 doesn't mean anything. They were on the road and now they're at home. Cassel's is definately no Brady in that I don't see him going bat crap crazy on the Jets and let's not forget that KC almost beat the Pats in NE. They were inside the 5 at the end of the game so you're logic here contradicts itself. I actually see the Jets eaking on out here and the Vegas line agrees with me.

Also, you can't look at past performance too much. Take the Rams blow out by Philly. Now they're home against the Giants and logic dictates that they'll get blown out again. Can's look at it that way. The Giants will win the game, that much is certain but rest assured it won't be by 35 points. Football players have pride if nothing else and the Lambs feel they have something to prove.

You're best bet in picking is looking at injuries, at what a team usually does against a certain team, a players past performace against a certain team, ect(I know it's a little much). This is why we play the games.

I agree with you on all but one game. The Colts vs. Vikings. Even though Manning looked mediocre vs the bears I think this week's practice did a lot of good for Manning and the offense. They'll come out looking to prove that they are one of the elite teams and blow out MN. Vikings have a horrible secondary and if anyone can light them up, it'll be Manning. They'll call enough run plays mixed with play passes to keep the Vikings guessing and Manning will be his usual self making changes at the line and causing confusion. Vikings DL is very good but I don't see them getting too much pressure on Manning. The Colts will get just enough yards on the ground to keep it respectable. But the area where they'll hurt the Vikings is through the air. Colts will win in a blow out because Vikings have an inconsistent passing game and they'll eventually have to pass when they get down a couple TDs. Look for Jackson to throw at least 1 int.

Very good picks but the Colts will actually probably beat the Vikings because the Vikings had a terrible pass defense last year and Peyton Manning is one of the top passing QB's in the NFL today. You might be right and your reason for the Colts losing is actually a pretty good one but the injury that he has probably isn't that serious. Good job overall though.

If you£In the event that you} knew a premier performing football group was playing an underperforming one, the most obvious guess could be on the most effective performing team. But what if your chosen group only sidelined its three most useful participants through recent injuries might they be such a solid challenger to gain that match now? Pretty good picks. I personally see a couple of things differently than you, but your logic is sound and you're arguments for them are quite valid. Nice research. Your confidence should be high.

The chiefs and chargers will win. The colts will win and other than that they are pretty good.
