ok to be a little paranoid?

hey everyone! i just got married on 8/30/08, and was ovulating the week before the wedding. we knew we wanted to get pregnant right away, and as of yesterday i was 5 days late. well, yesterday afternoon, with just a tiny little bit of urine (I didn't have to go but the suspense was killing me!), I got a BFP with a first response test!!!! I'm stunned and shocked and incredibly grateful...but also very nervous to see AF every time I got to the bathroom. Is that weird? I'm getting paranoid about it. I have a very healthy 5 year old little girl and no history of miscarriage, so i have no idea why i feel so nervous!

thanks for your advice and truckloads of babydust to you all!!!!!

Update:

just in response to one of the answers...i'm not bleeding and i'm not peeing any more than usual....i just didn't have to go before i took the test!

It just seems too good to be true, that's all.

But good things happen to good people.

So congrats on getting pregnant so fast and good luck to you.

Are you sure it is AF, You have recently got married and may have had sex very regularly, so it might be just cystitis (inflammation of the bladder that sometimes occurs from the additional friction against the urethra), especially if you are experiencing the need to go to the loo loads of times and only peeing small amounts.

Best to see a doctor asap and be sure.

Good luck to you and hope it all turns out well!

That's not weird at all! You just have a fear that your going to lose a baby and that your pregnancy isn't real. Trust me, it's real and you're going to be a mommy! You'll probably feel that way all the way up until you hear your little angel's first cry. =] Congrats to you! Relax though, because your baby feels everything you feel!

  • with my second daughter i kept going to the toilet thinking my period was gonna come but never did it will settle when you get your first scan as it well same more real

    congrats x x
