Theres sometimes a slight accent, I think it depends if the person has been brought up bi-lingual, ie speaking English plus their own native language such as Urdu, Hindi etc, you can hear a slight accent, I think of it as a "thickening" of the way they pronounce certain words, I can't describe it, but its very very slight.
I work in a DWP callcentre and speak to loads of British people of all races and backgrounds and I've spoken to asian/West Indian people with broad Scottish, Northern, Cockney. Birmingham, Welsh etc accents. Sometimes you can still detect an underlying hint of something else in the voice, like I said I think it depends if they are billingual because I think that might affect their accent a bit, but only very very slightly.

Vote UKIP they'll stop it although 2015 might be too late, I don't care what their other policies are I would vote for a Nazi party if they promised to cut immigration. The EU clearly wants us all to mix and form one nation probably the United States of Europe but mass immigration especially ones were the immigrants have a different culture and religion ends in mass genocide just look at current problems in Africa and Burma or Bosnia a few years ago where the indigenous people forced Muslims to leave and killed the Muslims who wouldn't go or the problems in the US the Hispanics and African immigrants all living in same area creating ghettos and no go areas for the other Americans.

Not me I only sound like everyone around my area but theyll know im from London. But Asians they sound different even if they are born here and of course all immigrants sound different.
but my older brother and dad sound just like cockneys they grew up Victoria dock whats now called Canning Town.
Ive noticed everyone born in inner London before 1980s has a different accent to everyone born after including white people we now have a mixed accent cockney/patois slang
Sometimes you can tell sometimes you cant

Though i had an indian family come into my work and they spoke pure scottish. It's was pretty strange to hear it at first.
It depends how long they've lived here or if they've grew up here aswell.
I find that more black people speak clearer english than others but that's just my observation.
