    -6k+5 -5k - 8 = -3

    -11k - 3 = -3

    u just expand the brackets and put the terms with k to one side and the numerical values on the other.. k= 0. --5 -8 = -3

    -6k+5 - 5k-8=-3

    -11k = -3+8-5

    -11k = 0

    k=0

    is this question suppose to be a prank or something ?

    -(6k-5) - (5k+8)=-3

    the minus signs on the outside mean to take the opposite of the inside

    -6k + 5 - 5k - 8 = -3

    -11k - 3 = -3

    -11k = 0

    k = 0

    hope this helps !

    -(6k-5) - (5k+8)=-3

    First, apply the minus sign on the first term to the contents of it:

    -6k - (-5)

    Next, apply the minus sign to the second term:

    -5k - (+8)

    Combine the two terms:

    [sorry, my mistake - should be -3 on the right]

    -6k - (-5) - 5k - (+8) = -3

    Simplify:

    -6k + 5 - 5k - 8 = -3

    Combine like terms:

    -11k - 3 = -3

    Add 3 to both sides:

    -11k = 0

    Finally, divide by -11:

    k = 0
