How do I erase past searches from my search bar and prevent auto complete?

In both IE and Mozilla Firefox different search engines list all my past searches. How can I erase these and prevent it from happening in the future? Thank you so much.

it incredibly is a trick. the previous searches are saved on your registry and can't be only bumped off via deleting historic previous from interior your browser. extremely, visit start > Run. form "REGEDIT" and click ok. In Reg Edit, hit CTRL+F. in the locate seek container form between the url's that comes up. it is going to locate that interior a registry get entry to. In that place you will see the record of each and every of the autocomplete urls. you are able to only delete them via double clicking on an get entry to in regedit, and deleting the URL itself. do no longer delete a key completely as they're numbered, extremely only white-out the URL so it won't arise. desire this enables :)
