Kyle Busch--- what happened to him? Your thoughts on the race?

Wow.. that was very interesting... Kyle Busch, after all the hard work, has a bad car, wrecks, falls 80 points behind and loses that lead... He'll look back on this one if he loses the championship... By the way, all the drivers who won the Chase finished in the top 10 at Loudon. So, the numbers can play against him, but he can still do the "Johnson"....

Anyways, what is your view of the race..Anything you'd like to say? Your thoughts on Kyle Busch...??? Biffle and his chances...

BTW, Johnson looks in Championship form... Can he do it again?

bad luck and a bad part bit him. crap happened and not at a good time. still shocked that he managed to keep that thing out of the wall until the competition caution, and then for so many laps afterwards. but, he's only 74 back now and as was shown today, that can be made up in one race. glad he was able to hang in there and move up from 43rd to 34th in the finishing order by the end, and from 12th to 8th in the points as well. one down, nine to go. next stop, dover...

and congrats to the biff. so glad he broke his streak and got the win, especially as it kept johnson and edwards from getting even further ahead of kyle...

and yes, jimmie and chad live for the chase, and as i've said all year, they were waiting for the right time to peak. they're not going to want to give away their chance at "immortality" by tying yarborough's record of three straight. it's going to be a battle.

I guess you people need to get a life. Kyle did nothing wrong. After reviewing the tape it is plain that it was just racing. Jr. turned left (as he should have) and Kyle slid up the track (because he got loose). If you were smart enough to freeze frame at the exact time of impact you would see Jr's wheels were turned left and Kyle's were still going straight. Besides if he did it on purpose why did he take his foot off the gas instead of hitting the gas? I wanted to see Jr win also but I can also see with me own two eyes what really happened. Jr is 3rd in points and does well every week, He will win and could win the cup. Stop crying till you have something to really cry about! As to those who keep saying Kyle turned his wheels right, when the back of the car starts to slide UP the track and you are loose you turn your wheels right to correct it. Contact was made before he ever turned his wheels to the right! You all need to get Sirius Radio and tune into the Nascar channel and learn a few things.

First let me congratulate Biffle! He did a very good job!

Now, to Kyle Busch. I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist. But,

to me something fishy went on with his car. I mean, he has had an excellent car all year and has won 8 races and then the first race of the

Chase, there is a major problem? It is obvious someone high up made

    sure this happened.

Nascar officials don't mind the fact that Toyota won many races this

year,,,But, they don't want them to win the Championship so soon after entering the Cup Series!

Those were pretty scary conditions for Kyle to have to drive his car with a broken sway bar. I was surprised he didn't get black flagged. I noticed in the pace laps that Kyle had some sort of problem. When everyone else was turning their wheels left to right Kyle was just rolling straight. When the pace cars camera showed the front of Kyles car you could see the body panels on the drivers side shaking. I thought he had an improperly aligned wheel or low tire pressure. It was obvious to me he would have a problem once he reached track speed. Apparently, as stated by the announcer, the sway bar is the last piece attached before the race car is ready. The bolt that was broken was probably not tightened correctly. I've learned from experience when assembling critical parts, not to do anything else but make sure each step is followed to completion. You never leave an assembly to go work on another part or even go to the bathroom. The technician may lose his train of though or his procedure. You must concentrate on the task at hand and follow what you know to make a quality assembly. It's your job. Your depended upon. And you have to be better than everybody else. I think the technician attached the bolt but didn't tighten it properly due to inattentiveness. It's most likey a technician error that caused Kyle a possible win. The lack of the technicians conviction to procedures put Kyle in a very dangerous position. I will give Kyle a ton of credit for driving his #18 as good as he did with a broken suspension. The suspension is the most critical performance aspect of a race car. Tires are a suspension component. And we've all seen what tire failure will do. What happened to Kyles car wasn't equipment malfunction, but more of a technician error. Someone will be held responsible for that. They can tell by where the bolt broke if it was properly tightened by the way it breaks. If the bolt was improperly tightened it will have elongated the holes it goes through and the bolt would have been bent. Even if they dont have the bolt they can tell by the wear pattern where the bolt for the sway bar connected. It's possible for a bolt to break, and if it was broken by a flaw in the bolt they can tell by the way the metal in the bolt seperates itself.

Definitely some very bad luck for the 18 team. Kudos to Kyle though - he held on to that car for longer than almost any other driver could. I really think he'll rebound though so don't count him out yet.

And congrats to Greg Biffle! I know John Roberts is calling up all the other Speed reporters right now and saying "Told you so!"

That is what makes the chase so interesting. Johnson, Biffle and Edwards all looked very good. However, I have a feeling Johnson will be the one to beat for the championship. I was hoping for a better finish for Jeff Gordon. You can't count him out yet, but he will need to finish much better than that to have a chance.

Its racing and Crap happens, he had his mulligan today, I'm not a Rowdy fan.. This is what the chase does it screws you big time.. I'm not saying I'm not happy but I guess Rowdy knows what it feels like, Jeff Gordon had this happen twice to him.. You can run great all season, and this second season rewards you this way....Rowdy has been the best out there all season, and I'm can't stand Toyota, but this format sucks.. I'm happy for Greg Biffle, he had a great car Congrats to Greg and Roush-Fenway. Rowdy just had a day of bad luck, it happens in racing. Yes, Jimmie looks good but with this Chase, its anybody's championship at this time. Something has to give with this chase format.. I'm sure Rowdy will rebound, and he will probably rebound big time.. But I'm still hoping and praying for a miracle for Dale Jr.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

Not a very good way in starting the chase.

Well he has had his bad race, he cant have anymore.

I am sure he will come out next race back in his old form and be right back in it.

Having a bad race always makes him more determined than ever.
