Republicans and Democrats...Question?
There is definitely a difference in the two sides. The whole liberal/conservative debate rages on. So I wondered, if one side was truly the victor, I mean if it was a Republican or Democrat utopia what would are country look like. What laws would be enacted and what would our countries ideals be focused on. I mean play the "game" to the end, if there truly was a winner then both sides must have some idea of what a victory would look like if it was seen through their way to the end.
Please just comment on what your side would say to this and leave the other folks to describe their side. No trash on thrown at the others. It is real easy to dream up worst case things about the other side but some thought has to be put into what your side really wants. Answer that comes closest to the rules laid out and best written wins best answer

Thoughtful question. I'm Independant, but as a far-left-leaner, I'll take the liberty of answering from the Democratic point of view.
I'd like to see the wealth distributed more evenly, to begin with. No more multi-million-dollar bonuses for CEO's who run their corporations into the ground, and fair compensation and benefits for hard-working employees.
I'd like to see every single worker in this nation represented by a labor union.
Health-care benefits for ALL citizens is a no-brainer. I find it tragic that in this country, day, and age, Americans die every day for want of affordable health insurance.
Free higher education for any student who maintains a "B" average or above.
Finally, a minimum wage that allows human beings to exist without choosing between paying the bills and purchasing food.
Edit: After reading Jessie's answers, I'd like to add: TRUE religious freedom for every American. I resent his/her insinuation that because I am not a Christian, I somehow have inferior "values".

I admire what you're trying to do here, but if the people you've elected to run the place can't get this stuff right, what hopes will you have getting it from these people, who constantly display their unwavering support for the aforementioned elected? There's not an original idea in most people's heads here.
As an outsider, I'd get lambasted for suggesting what might create utopia...but as I don't believe a utopian society is possible, that's moot.

My "side" isn't a side, but more towards the middle. That's the way it should be... no one group in absolute power, ever. When there is no room for dissent, this country will have ended.
