01 rodeo AC compressor going bad (Squealing/ colder at higher speed)?
Went to a small shop and it appears I have a bad compressor. It squeals real bad when it is on and AC gets colder the faster I go, and warmer when i am at idle. He told me that he would have to replace the compressor and something else and it would cost about 800-900 dollars. How long will it last? It has been about 8 months now, I was wondering how much longer?
get the system recharged? Even if it has the correct amount of refrigerant? would they evacuate the current refrigerant and add new refrigerant with oil?

sounds like the pulley on the front of the compressor is going bad,you could get the system recharged,an have Freon with oil in it put in might make it last a little longer
