Question about litter training hedgehogs?

I have recently acquired a hedgehog, and read online that they can be litter trained- which i immediately started doing. He easily picked it up, and hasn't had any problems. However, i later found out that you shouldn't use clumpable cat litter- which is what i started him on. Do you think if I switch him over to yesterdays news he'll still use the litter pan?

Just keep the litter pan in the same place. You could mix the litters and gradually reduce the clumping litter over time to get him used to the new stuff. I bough litter specifically for hedgehogs that was like little balls, and my hedgie used it (well, sometimes he rollled around in it first...). You want to avoid the clumping or anything too dusty so he doesn't ingest it and back up his system.

    Good luck!

He won't in any respect be taught to apply the muddle field, or he could without notice commence making use of it. It fairly relies upon on the hedgehog. despite if he starts making use of it, he could finally end up pooping on his wheel additionally.
