  • The ferret who plays too rough!?

My ferret likes to chase and bite toes. I've tried it all. Socks, shoes, bitter apple spray. She just doesn't care! My feet are far too much fun! Now here's the real problem, I've tried the scruffing thing as a last resort. All it gets me is a ferret who rolls on her back, still trying to play of course, and a bite on the hand. I cant get to her scruff! She always rolls and bites me. I know this is not aggression, but at this point i don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

  • Aggression or playing?

I just introduced a 9 week old kitten to a 4 month old. At first the 4 month old was hissing quite a lot, but then that stopped. Now he is constantly slapping at her, and she swats back on occasion. I can't tell if this is him still being aggessive to her or if they're playing.

I'm seriously considering Riedell Angel- does anyone have a reveiw for these skates?

  • Question about litter training hedgehogs?

I have recently acquired a hedgehog, and read online that they can be litter trained- which i immediately started doing. He easily picked it up, and hasn't had any problems. However, i later found out that you shouldn't use clumpable cat litter- which is what i started him on. Do you think if I switch him over to yesterdays news he'll still use the litter pan?

  • Question about Indian Runner ducklings.?

My order of Indian Runners came in today- but I have a couple of questions.

They are roughly the size and color of these ducklings pictured- http://www.flickr.com/photos/birdyboo/77337156/

I was wondering about how old they were likely to be, and what color they actually are/will grow into.

Also- I noticed they all had one rough/scaley feather on their back- is this normal?

  • Fly Fusion Pentop Computer?

I'm considering purchasing the Fly Fusion Pentop Computer. I was just curious as to if anyone has gotten and used this product, and if it's worth the money. I'm afraid I'll get it and be let down. Does anyone have any feedback on this item?

  • In your opinion, at what age should rabbits no longer be bred?

I raise show rabbits, and have spoken with many different breeders, each having their own opinion of the age which a rabbit should be retired.

I personally believe females should be retired around the age of 2, and no later than the age of three. Others have said to breed her, her whole life. Some claim to stop at 4, or 5, or even 7!

Most people continue breeding males their entire life. I also believe it is best to stop breeding them around the age of 3.

Do you have an opinion on the matter?

  • A good book to prepare you for horse care?

Know any good books about horse care? I think I may adopt my first horse in a couple of months. I've never owned my own horse- just leased. I'm interested in books with a lot of good information and advice!

-Please note, i do not need you to explain basic horse care to me. I already know basic horse care. I'm more interested in finding a book that will help me understand advanced horse care- like arthritis and aging ect.

  • A healthy way to increase a dogs weight?

My pug is about a year old. The normal weight for pugs is 14-18 pounds. My pug is about 11 pounds. I've tried switching foods, but that doesn't seem to be working. He looks so skinny, especially for a pug, as most pugs have the exact opposite problem, and are over weight. Are there any sort of medications, or is there prescription food i can buy to help increase his weight?

  • Country song about stopping for a moment and understanding others problems?

There is a country song that points out we need to take a moment to stop and understand the problems others may be having.

I can't remember much of the song, or it's lyrics. But, one of the verses was about being stuck behind a slow driver when you're in a rush. And, the reason the driver was so slow was because he recently lost a loved one?

Does anyone know what song this is and who it's by? It's not too terribly old, just a couple of years I believe.

  • Do you think my hamster has beat the worlds oldest hamster record?

I have a very old teddy bear hamster. He is 6, and will be turning 7 this December. I heard the worlds oldest hamster lived to be 6, but i can't seem to find that record anywheres?

Let me tell you, he is not pretty. He has gone bald, and his eyes are shot blue seeing as he has become blind in his old age. But, suprisingly enough, he's still very happy and active!
